Books I Lurve Very Much

Oooh, there's just too many to count...but my top 2 favourites of all time are:

New e-Book cover
Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card
(collectively known as the Ender Saga)

Genre: Science fiction

Best. Series. Ever. It surprises me that the whole world doesn't know about the Ender Saga. Earth is preparing for war against an alien invasion. The world's best minds, child geniuses, that are sent up to space, on an asteroid called Battle School. They are tested for brilliance, ambition, and leadership, and trained to fight as commanders over armies in null gravity. It's an extremely intelligent book that explores human nature at the deepest level.

The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger

Genre: Romance

It's a book about one man with the ability to time travel, but at its essence, it's a book about love that transcends time.
Clare has known Henry all her life - he is a time traveler who befriended her during her childhood (with all decency, of course).
Henry is a man with a genetic disorder that uproots him from the now, and puts him somewhere in the past or future. Naked. He can return to meet his mother, who died when he was young. Sometimes, he even meets himself.
Warning: Quite a lot of …ah…s-e-x scenes, and language.

Other favourites (in no particular order):

• Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead

• Harry Potter by JK Rowling (of course)

• Looking for Alibrandi, Finnikin of the Rock, both by Melina Marchetta

• Gallagher Girls series by Ally Carter

• Alex Rider by Anthony Horowitz

• Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer

• Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones

I'm always interested to hear what people like to read over and over again. So...what are some books that you like?

It's a fantastic series, and there's been talks about it becoming a movie, but nothing concrete yet.
I love Melina Marchetta's books. She's a great author. Have you read Finnikin of the Rock?

Did you see the movie for Time Traveler's Wife (I always stumble over the American spelling) with Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams?

I enjoy the Gallagher Girls series. I finally started reading them a few months ago. Harry Potter is my favorite fiction series.

I have heard a lot of good things about Howl's Moving Castle. I will have to give it a try some time. The Time Traveler's Wife is on my TBR list. I watched the movie and liked it too.

I love the Harry Potter and Artemis Fowl books too while Ender's Game has been on my wish list for a long time. Glad to see we have some similar tastes. :-)

@ Christina: I'm glad you enjoyed Gallagher Girls, and Harry Potter. Sounds like we have some favourite books in common.
There's also a film (anime) version of HMC, and I loved it. Hope you enjoy them!

@ Kah Woei: Absolutely! I love it when people love the same books I do. Give Ender's Game a go - I gurantee that you'll love it.
